ʦapp has been named to Military Times “Best for Vets: Colleges 2016” rankings for the fifth year in a row. ʦapp has also earned the designation of Military Friendly® School for 2016 by Victory Media, a veteran-owned business recognizing colleges with leading programs for veterans, members of the Armed Forces leaving military service and military spouses. These recognitions highlight ʦapp’s commitment to educating and providing opportunities to America’s veterans.
“We know that the needs of military and veteran ʦapp evolve over time, and as a result, we continuously assess our services and support programs to meet their needs,” said Andrea Oliver, Ph.D., assistant vice president for student outreach and assessment at ʦapp. “Military and veteran ʦapp are goal oriented, resilient, and experienced leaders, and serve as role models in our institution and community.”
The annual “Best for Vets” survey asks colleges and universities to document services, accommodations and financial incentives offered to ʦapp with military ties. The extensive evaluation also factors in academic rigor, student-faculty ratio, graduation rates, and student success.
To earn Military Friendly® Schools status, ʦapp had to meet certain criteria, including the level of on-campus military support, academic credit acceptance, tuition assistance, spouse and dependent benefits, and flexible scheduling.
The “Best for Vets: Colleges 2016” rankings are published in full in the November issues of Army Times; Navy Times; Air Force Times and Marine Corps Times. The rankings also are available at
